self-adjusting trim tabs

Hello fellow boaters and fishermen

I am considering installing trim tabs on my 195 Sea Fox Bayfisher.
I do not need them for planning off , i just need them for listing when underway. I have been looking at the Lenco self-adjusting tabs.

Does anyone have any opinions on them ??

Are you referring to the “Auto-Glide” system?
Sounds like a really sweet set-up, but haven’t heard anything about it.

My Mistake I meant Bennet not Lenco… Tha Auto-Glide product looks great , but I do not need to invest that much…

I do not know anything about the self adjusting tabs, but I would rather be in complete control of my tabs.

Tabs do so much more than simply control listing.

Manual tabs for me as well.

I have a set of smart tabs I put on a skiff, pretty much the same thing as you are looking at. They help with lower planing speeds, the ride a little bit but for listing I think you`ll have to go with hydraulic.

I agree with the above comments. They aren’t “smart” enough to control listing.

Had some old-school Bennett auto-tabs on the Scout 260 I used to own…I could not take them off fast enough.

I’ve had both bennett and lenco on my boats. Never had any trouble out of them…one thing to consider, bennetts are hydrolik while lenco is electric using a motor to turn a screw arrangement to make then go up and down. I liked the lencos better because no fluid or pumt to mess with. It’s been a while since I had the bennetts so I assume they are still hydrolik. Lencos are a little noisier…
