I was in the process of rebuilding my 2002 Suzuki DF 140 when I got a 2013 Suzuki DF140 that I am putting on the boat. I had the 2002’s power head and cylinder head rebuilt by the Outboard Clinic out of Palm City Fla. I had found some corrosion issues in the engine holder, same stuff you’ve heard about in the early model Suzuki’s, and had them welded by Bob’s Welding in N. Charleston. The motor had run flawlessly until it blew a head gasket.
My question is what will help me get the best return of the money spent on getting the older motor rebuilt, reassemble it and sell a running motor or sell it piece meal?
