Selling my boat to a co worker. What ,all, do I need to have documented?

The most important thing to do is to fill out the form notifing DNR that you sold the boat and provide his information. If he fails to register the boat in his name, you will continue to get tax bills on it. Whenever I sell a boat, I peel the registration sticker (year) off so they have no choice and have to register it so they have current stickers. Otherwise, some people waith until the registration expires before doing it.

That’s a good suggestion and way to do it, pit! Let them know up front, they will be illegal if they don’t do the right thing~
