what is everyone’s favorite set ups and techniques for kings?
I use several different reels for kings( got a few TLD 15’s and 4 Avets). All of my king rods are 7’ and reels are spooled with 20lb test line. Most of my fishing is done with live bait (pogies or blues) and trolled at dead idle. I run a couple lines as flat lines and two on downriggers, one down near the bottom and the other about 1/2 up
Also had a LOT of luck last summer in PCB FL using frozen cigar minnows on the live bait rigs
I keep my drags reel loose because it does not take much to pull a hook on one of them and most of the time it is the stinger hook that gets them, by way be VERY CAREFUL WITH THE STINGERS:smiley:

I use that same knot on my stinger hooks. I have found many better ways to store them.

I just read a post on the best way to remove hooks. Hope TPrice provided input on that. That looks painful.

Yea. Went to a local Dr in PCB Fl and she had to cut it out
