headed out in the kayak out of sewee preserve around 11 am. low tide expected for 1;30.I threw a cast net and had more shrimp and finger mullet than i could handle. TONS of shrimp in the creeks right now.
I started with live shrimp under a popping cork working the mouths of the creeks. Caught 10 rat reds and a bunch of stingray. Then i moved over to a deeper hole around low tide and threw a doa on a popping cork. Caught a bunch of lady fish and a few decent sized trout.
Back at the dock around 3pm and happy with a steady day but nothing of size. Water was dirty, fished in 1-2 ft of water, no rain but overcast the whole day.
Lady fish are fun to catch! Is there any use for them as far as bait? Maybe offshore? I bet I could troll them split in half. They are rather shiny.
Ladyfish are good Shark & spottail Cut bait.
