Took the Hobie PA up to the dam yesterday for some shad fishing…they were running water during the trip upstream then about an hour after I got up there they stopped. The shad were everywhere. The boats mainly stayed along the edges of the bank casting out - I trolled along the middle-area of the tailrace and was wearing them out. I stopped counting after 15 - biggest was 19" and had a few shad breach and do some aerial jumps.
Wow, I wish I would have known. I was off yesterday. Good job.

It is full swing at the Santee dam! Going up again Sunday. It is a drive, but it is worth it. The landing is literally at the dam, unlike the tailrace. Anyone want to go up w/ me or follow me through the wilderness gimme a shout b4 then.
