Ok, I am replacing the outdrive on the Sundancer 290 in preparation for bikini season. I’m looking for someone with knowledge of Mercruiser outdrives (Bravo II is what is on this one). I have the new unit ready to install, and might be able to manage it myself, but don’t want to. It seems that the tools needed to reseal the transom are quite expensive and I don’t really see myself repairing outdrives on the regular.
Any suggestions of people to call, or PM me if you are the guy I’m looking for. The boat is on jack stands in the yard and, as I said, I have the replacement upper and lower unit. Looking for a new gimbal ring, but should have that shortly.
