Fished with Little Feller crew on the Shady Lady
Left Edisto out of Fishing Creek at 4:00 to be greeted by a calm ocean. Pointed at the Ledge and hammered down. Great ride until the thunderstorm south of us had a different agenda for the calm ocean. Seas were stacked up and grew. Boat did great despite. Put lines in 700’ and trolled North to run from the storm. Picked up some fish all day but action did not get hot until a nice weedline in 250’. Put lots of fish in the boat to end the day with 20. Lost several close to the boat and had numerous knockdowns. Used 4.5 packs of Ballyhoo. Blue and white Islander jr and trackers were hot along with pink and white. Sea stars also saw plenty of action. Great day with the Fellers and had young Parker on board again. He is now rigging, washing down boat, opening fish box, handing captain cool beer, etc…
Comment to a Grady White, Island Time…Its a big ocean and I have been on weedlines with so many boats it looks like we are crusing the strip! You moved in on us and cut me off for almost an hour! You even cut in front of me so I had to stop dead while trolling and F$$$$d our lines up twice! Either you have no manners or you need to learn how to drive that boat. I hailed you on the radio with no answer. Common sense or stay home. Hope everyone has a safe and productive fishing weekend. Next week weather permitting.
