I am looking into placing an order for one of the 8’ 3/4" fiberglass anchor pins with the tee handle. Shipping cost is the same for up to 23 rods. I am not sure how many they will ship if the tee handles are ordered with them. I know the shipping cannot exceed 70 pounds. I am not looking to make money on this deal nor will I warranty their product, only looking to see if anyone would be interested in splitting the shipping cost. I am located in Conway and would be willing to deliver from to Little River to Georgetown, possibly down to Charleston if there is enough interest.
If 10 or more are ordered there is a 10% discount.
I emailed the dealer rep this morning to find out about splintering and this is what he had to say about their product:
Be sure to see the YouTube video at the top of the webpage.
We sell rod to many of the commercial anchor manufacturers, so ours are excellent for this purpose.
I guess you could smash them with big hammers or something like that and get them to splinter, but in this use, they should be just fine.
We currently also sell Tee handles, and will have stainless steel tips available as well in 2 to 3 weeks.
If anyone is interested, send me a PM and I will be in touch.
I have a friend on James Island who makes them. They are similar to what you have in mind but they are more custom. They have EVA grips(any color), D-ring to attach your line to and a weighted end cap to push the pole down. I will get his info and post some pics tomorrow. He does an awesome job with them!

I look forward to seeing what his anchor pin looks like and costs.
Right now I am using a ground rod from an old power pole. While it works well, it is scratching the bottom of my boat and leaves rust stains. Didn’t cost anything though. That is why I am looking for something cheap.
Its his side business called Lowcountry Anchors. He has white, black and camo rods and any color grips you can think of. I will get some pics tomorrow and post some info too.
I have a 5’ 3/4" solid Stainless Cajun Anchor and love it. Its good for water up to about 8’ deep, so we only use the Danforth anchor in deeper water now.
I want a longer (lighter) model (10-12’?) to use to anchor just off the surf at Capers and Bull Island. Was planning on making one out of 1" Stainless tubing, baloney cut tip (to help penetrate sand) with some holes to help get the sand/mud out and a T handle (about 9" on each side) to aid in removal … anyone tried this? Anchoring on the sand just off the surf is harrowing, but the Reds are there!

Just a thought…I use a cajun anchor made out of an 8’ ground rod purchased from Home Depot. One end has a sharp point and I drilled a hole in the other end and attached a shackle to which I tied 20’ of 1/4" nylon line. BTW the ground rod is galvanized…I’ve been using it for several years and no rust! It’s a little heavy but works well in as much as 10’ of water…
Here are a few pics he sent. His poles(white, black, camo) include two 5" grips or one 12" grip (alot of colors) with stainless D shackle, choice color on top butt cap and bottom carbon/epoxy dipped ends. They are top notch. Send an email for other questions: Lowcountryanchors@gmail.com
Ordered our rods and tee handles yesterday. We ended up getting them for $30 each. I am expecting delivery by the end of the week.
Oh and by the way. Max Gain Systems is in Georgia, pretty local, I would think.
Stainless tips will be available at the end of January if anyone wants to order one for their rods. $9.95 each plus shipping. Said he could stick them in the mail for a small shipping fee.
Thanks to everyone that participated. Has made for a fun project so far.
An excellent shallow water stick anchor for a boat 17’ or smaller is the fiberglass golf hole flag poles. I actually pole my Jon boat with it on the flats. I just can’t seem to remember how I obtained mine though???
Hey everyone sorry if youve been having trouble trying to get through to us at Lowcountry Anchors. We’ve been out of town for work and had to put things on hiatus temporarily. We are back and we do have several color combinations available. Feel free to message me on here or at lowcountryanchors@gmail.com so we can place any orders and answer any questions you may have. Thanks for the support!
