Weather was not good this AM. We only made it to 65’. We picked through the day and waited on the weather to get better. Two of the customers caught their first gags. We ended the day with:
8 Gags should have been 10 lost 2 @ the boat.
BSB
4 Massive Red Fish in 65’ of water.
Snake King
Grunts
How did the release go on the redfish? Not trying to be a jerk just curious would hate to see those old fish float away. Nice report first gag that would be nice.Unless they are caught on the flats I dont see myself catching one anytime soon:smiley:Thanks for sharing P1
We do vent them because they are busted on grouper rods. The fight last a few minutes.
They are not worn out like catching them at the grillage on light tackle.
I do not keep them in the boat that long. Maybe a picture or two for the customers and then by by. So no measuring. They are really a by product of what we are fishing for. I am trying to get them back in the water ASAP.
I have done my share of inshore fishing and have always taken good care of what is to be released. I even do the same to undersized fish caught offshore.
