For most of this winter, I have been fishing the (kind of) shallows with a Pathfinder 2500. While it does not get ultra shallow, it has been getting me into casting range of some decent size schools. While I have been getting a few, I miss the up close and personal style of fishing a skiff provides. So, a few months ago I ordered a Salt Marsh 1656. It arrives next week!
Until then, will be targeting Reds with a Z-Man Finesse TRD on a 1/5 ounce NedlockZ jig. On light tackle, this combo casts a mile and Redfish love it. In clear water, The Deal is the color. In low clarity situations, Hot Snakes gets the nod.
