Let the Japanese eat up. The number of shark attacks is crazy. Anybody think they are underfished…?
Still over fished…
ca 1870, Charleston Harbor, Sailor Accidentally thrown overboard & treading water while awaiting rescue. No body recovered. Said to be a 7.6 m [25’] shark. First officially recorded shark attack. That’s how things used to be. A few people getting nipped on the beach is nothing compared to what the SE Asian countries are doing to them.

I have read that the population is up 45% in the last 10 years. Who knows. I do know offshore they are a (**() nuisance. I think defining what a fish population should be is a slippery slope anyway. They Don’t have kill shares on whitetail deer.
Read that where? What species?
With how the Asians are harvesting them I highly doubt it.
A few shark attacks is not a big deal. We can’t just start killing every predator in the world because a few people got boo boos.
For a species that exerts it’s dominance over the entire animal kingdom we sure to have a lot of people get worked up over the few times something bites back. If you’re so scared of getting bit buy a pool.

Can we get the Japanese to come catch a few of the Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks?
I don’t think inviting the Japanese to the Atlantic is a wise decision.

If we can’t trust the government to count snapper, etc… we can’t trust them to count sharks.
