What kind of tuna is that? Haven’t seen one of those around here in years
We chased a shark this for over 2 hours all over the shipping channel between the jetties this evening. Smart shark…he took us to the Dynamite Hole and dove deep and broke us off. He wasn’t the typical 6-7 footer…never saw it.
If anybody manages to catch him…we’d like to get our hooks and sinker back.

why do we have to fish shark hole but you get to fish somewhere else? Not that it matters mind you.
Charleston City Papers Best Guide of 2014
The minor point is the hole. The major point is helping rookies. So, Ya’ll will have to stand by your “hole” and advice on-line, and witness it to the general public. As will I, and I’ll take it up a notch further. We’ll take the “shark toon”, which will prevent us from going off shore. Inlets will be our boundary.
Another rule should be to eat the two fish, “provided Ya’ll catch one”, or donate to the needy with a dockside seminar on bleeding, gutting, butchering, curing, storing, and preparation of the meat.
Oh! Sorry, I really slighted ya’ll, suggesting you might not catch one. Cause anyone can catch one in the “BIG HOLE itself”
To novices: I refer to the big hole as the region from Brunswick to Georgetown. Which is one of the most densely populated breeding grounds, “pupping grounds”, in the world for several species. Which is also a feeding ground for them as well during the temperate “off-breeding season”. Where according to my cutting and gutting experience, Rays, Reds, and flounder are the adults’ meals of choice.

Ha! I kept joking about that, but it had a shark-like head shake…if it was a ray, it was a big 'un.

First, Most, Biggest
I want to catch them all
you miss interpreted me Great White. No doubt about the hole. Plus a lot more not quit so deep. That said I don’t think anyone needs a hole to catch a shark in right now! It’s that time of year the toothy bastards are everywhere.
My rod watchers are better looking and that’s not up for debate.

Hmmmm…it’s not a tiger shark wrap anymore. Look for this:

And the troops rally, but it’s too late. The fishin’ is done. Catch was close, got em’ to the boat and they ran. I kept anchor out of principal. But now they know the boat.! Might challenge again someday.

Figured as much claim! Haha good stuff. Post a pic of that boats first mako, I’ll be waiting patiently

Fritz definitely wins. Anybody that wants to catch a bunch of big sharks…multiple species just needs to go fish the tip of the North Jetty at Winyah Bay in July. It’s all you will catch…Big ones…
