Shark Holes

(just fishing for some tips to ensure we don’t drive 2.5 hours to go shark fishing and end up disappointed or empty handed)

where are your favorite spots for targeting shark? We normally launch out of Station creek. Not comfortably familiar yet with the surrounding areas, but always willing to try something new!

IMO inshore sharks are pretty much everywhere. Follow bait, especially shrimp, least that’s what I do.

Offshore can’t help ya there.

A lot of folks talk about ‘shark holes’…which is not necessarily inaccurate, but also is not the ‘only’ place/way to catch them. I catch ‘large’ blacks and spinners inshore and adjacent to one of my favorite red fish holes, on a 3-4 Ft sand bar near deeper water. Don’t limit your searches to ‘deep only’ waters, U may be pleasantly surprised!!!
Find bonnets, and U may find their bigger cousins

Predators follow bait. A lot of the inshore sharks target same thing as reds and other popular sport/game fish. I’ve often got a few bonnets on artificials when fishing reds n trout.

Dependent on what your looking to catch, is what bait you should try to follow.
