Sharks! Plenty of bonnetheads and sharpnose!

Late post from a trip last week. Fished the bottom half of the rising tide in Dewees. Found some ledges and dropped some menhaden. Several double ups and a couple of runs that resulted in break offs. The water is getting warm and the sharks are easy to find to say the least!

Check out the youtube video of the trip!

Thanks for sharing your video!

Are they good eatin’?

Like the video, thanks!

Thanks guys!

Flywatt- Ive eaten a couple in the past few years and they are decent. I bleed em out on the boat then toss them on ice. I fillet then steak them and soak the meat in buttermilk overnight. After that ill rinse the meat and grill them.

Bonnethead and Sharpnose make excellent bait for the bigger sharks. If you ever decide to keep 1 let me know, ill buy em off ya!

Interesting. Do you use them as cut bait?

Yep!

Cool video. Shark are definitely hot right now and those inlets (dewees capers and price) are full of them.

What kind of bigger sharks are you talking about? I'd keep them if I had a bigger freezer, but I don't have enough room to get one

It floats and has rod holders. Fine by me.
