Anybody catch any Sharks in Charleston or North of here? So far I’ve tried Nearshore reef(yesterday) and Jetties, Grillage and Middle Grounds…The Menhaden and Pinfish are starting to show in the harbor now and this time last year Sharpnose and Bonnetheads were here already. So where are they hiding?

Caught our first Bonnethead Sunday morning near low tide here in a small creek in Hilton Head. Saw two on Friday as well, but this was the first hookup.

I saw a guy on tv fly fishing for rainbow trout in Alaska (I think). Anyway he was using a using a “flesh fly”. When the steel head spawn, die, and begin to decompose big chunks of flesh come off. The flesh fly mimics a big chunk. I bet you could make something similar (maybe look like a mullet filet),soak it in chum or put some pro cure on it. Then chum some sharks up and see if it works. Just a thought I had when i saw the show and I think its a logical idea.

They’re here now in the harbor
