Thanks for all your help on this site. my question is i have a 19 cc thats really good for my back where i can get up and stretch . Are you using a trolling motor or your gas motor to troll.And how big of a trolling motor would i need on my boat if thats what you are using . i have a t top if that matters thanks.

bluesman ya i’m running a trolling motor.i’m running a 16 tracker with a 55lb minn kota power drive.thinking of upgrading to the 80lb 24 volt.that should serve your purpose.the troling speed is .05 mph according to the gps.some people prefer to troll a little faster but the slower speed sems to work better for me.hope this aanswers your questions.
what kind of fishing gear did you get?
rods reels, 250 anchor rope with chain new also i got a drift sock he said it would slow up the boat i got tons of stuff from this man kinda sad he said he would be in a wheel chair soon and his fishin days were about over but he really did me right . also got a chum stick to put chum in dont know if you use them for strippers i guess now ive gotta get me a mincota salt water trolling motor then im set ! i hope my new wife likes to fish

bluesman i have a 21 ft al. center console with a rt 74 autopilot on it and love the autopilot. I had alot of trouble out of this minn-kota. sent it back to the factory 2 times and local service twice. Minn kota is honaring the warrenty and sending me a new motor. I have a 54 in shaft, be sure what lenght shaft you need.

got mine at bass pro. I ordered it on-line. They don’t make the rt 74 anymore. the one they are sending me is a 80lb
