Caught her first redfish a couple weeks ago. Took her a while to get her in but she did it mostly on her own using a Penn 2000 and a popping cork. She thinks she’s a pro now!

Sweet! Keep up the great work Chip!! My daughter, Morgan, just turned 17 a couple of weeks back. All she wanted for her birthday was a new rod and reel. She has better rigs than all of her male friends and outfishes them on a regular basis. She takes pics. to prove it.

She asked who’s they were and I told her they were all her’s. You would have thought she won the lottery…if only a bag of popping corks made her happy for ever…

Awesome post! Its things like this that restore faith in people: that there are good Families out there. When I was her age I was the same way; you couldn’t keep a rod from my hands! Great job!

Great job Chip! She will remember days like that forever. I know I tell my kids plenty of stories of fishing as a family growing up.

OFM, PM me your address. I’ve got a birthday present I’d like to send her. We can’t do enough for our kids. Mine grew up boating, fishing and hunting with me. He’s 28 now and has good sense. He came out and spent the weekend with us. We wasted 1,000 rounds of ammo, and laughed a lot, had a great time, cooked out, enjoyed each other. You can’t take those early years back, use them wisely and it will pay off for the rest of your life
