Happy Man right about now. I said i was going to Charleston to target Sheephead this weekend and got on the water and wore them out… We lost some big ones, I’m talking about big. Biggest was around 5 or 6lbs, 16"-18"
Left them biting. Storm came up so quick and had to run…

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

You deserve to have a good day, after that band of hooligans were messing with your truck last time.

Appreciate it everyone. Went yesterday and caught the big girl of the weekend. She was a good fight. I just knew she would pop the line. Go look at me new post.
Man that’s how you do it. I need some pointers on catching them when they are cruising oyster beds. I have a few spots in cape Romain that I see tons of them on oyster beds when the tide is about a foot over them. I can’t get them to take any artificial or fly. Frustrating lol
If the fish have stripes on them they are mine.LOL

Glad to see you found them Torey. I was in Murrells Inlet last week and couldn’t buy a sheepshead. Guess I am going to have to get back to Charleston to find them.

Great job Torrey, glad you found the secret!
Thanks everyone. I owe all my skills to Barbawang and Matt. Taught me everything i know. The thing about it is my girl have never sheephead fished a day in her life and i taught her on a Saturday and 15-30 minutes later she was dragging me out ther catching sheepshead. It’s really a system to it and when you find it, its on and popping. It’s all about-
- Chumming the area
- Having right bait( fiddlers the best to me)
- Dropping right down beside pylons or structure
- Having that itch and feel for a lil weight/tug
Now if i can come down and learn how to fish for Red Drums and Flounders i would be doing good…
I got an itch, just need time to find a tug
Very cool to see how quickly (and successfully) you’ve progressed in your passion. Straight props, bubba.
