Took a friend out that had never caught any sheepshead figured I could show him how to catch’em. Hit the water early, around 7:30, found the spot, scraped, then fiddler crab away. It was a great day caught between 15-20 brought a few home, even taught my friend how to successfully catch them. Might do it again tomorrow, depends on how things play out …
First one of the day, little small back he goes
My friends first sheep, not to bad, he was surprised with the fight
Also caught my largest sheep yet, he was a little over 19"
Landed his first keeper also
Poor guys hooked
Not sure how he made it to the boat, glad he did
The haul
Not to bad of a day
Probably my favorite fish to catch in the Lowcountry, ready for next time

yeah … that’s how I find the least pressured fish, chop through the marsh with a machete. Also, we caught no reds or trout, all sheeps, you must have a touch for the reds haha. I did hook into something that felt large but didn’t get a good hook set
