Sheepshead bait if no live fiddlers?

Haddrell’s not sure if they’re getting any this week, CHS Angler not expecting to get any. Need them for a sheeps tourney on Saturday.
Anyone have other suggestions to get live fiddlers?

If I absolutely can’t get live, what’s the next best option?
Frozen fiddlers
Frozen sand fleas
Clams

I can’t answer your question about “next best” however, I’ve caught a bunch of sheeps on shrimp and even cut squid. Good luck with the tournament!

Oh. Also. You can catch fiddlers with a paper bag and two 2x4’s.

Saw a video where a dude took the shavings off a pilon, hooked on a barnacle and a mussel, caught a bunch of sheepies with these.

Any type of shell fish works mussles clams and oysters are better than fiddlers on some days in the side by side. I’ve heard pieces of blue crab but it never works for me. Small cluster mussels are good to. People flip rocks at the landing and get crabs most grab baby stone crabs and call them mud crabs since they look a like. I hate this. Don’t use baby stone crabs just because you can get away with it, its bad for our ecosystem and you can get a fine.

Also heard the small white eraser size perry winkle snails are good.

They are eating shrimp as they get ready for winter I have seen 3 caught under popping corks with live shrimp and one on a zman shrimpz

I out sheephead fished my friend putting little perry winkles on my hook with a fiddler. He thought it was just an idiots luck.
