I got a killer fish taco sauce recipe if you like spicy stuff, we make them a lot! Also, get some cilantro growing in your yard and if you arent using corn tortillas, you are missin’ out.
mhebbard, do you have any issues with your cilantro starting to burn and die around June/July. If not, what do you do to keep it from getting burned? Mine is in a half sun/half shade area and it still looks like its going to die down the road.

I am not a pro gardener, but cilantro is a very short-lived annual herb. I have read that you need to plant in succession (ie re-seed every 6-8 weeks or so) to have a steady supply. Not sure about making it through the summer heat though, i think we will end up having to buy it at the store once it gets to july/aug.
it goes to seed fast here (subsequently transforming into coriander/your next round of seeds), i’ve always just replanted every time i think about it throughout the summer… same with dill, which goes very well in the sour cream for those tacos.
I use a strain of cilantro/coriander that came from my great aunts, who is 92, farm that is now under lake Murray. I let it go to seed, which I also use a lot, and store it for next year. Mhebbard is right, plant new seeds every couple weeks and you will have it all season, can also grow it through the winter and actually likes the colder weather better

Do any stores sell cilantro?
All grocery stores sell fresh cilantro. We grow it almost year around, just let it go to seed and the seeds replant themselves, so it’s almost perpetual. We haven’t had to actually replant in years, it just keeps coming back.
