Bite was slow but productive today on the falling tide. Caught probably 15 in two hours or so, but only three worth bringing home.
Waded a nearby flat early this morning and saw one true tailer, but there was a bunch of water where I wanted to be. As the tide fell out, we spooked at least six fish. They were there, just a little too deep for me today.

Sailfish have you ever used Sand Fleas as bait for sheeps? Scrape is good but tough to work with.

I know they work, but I usually use fiddlers. Oysters if I’m feeling froggy.

Sand fleas are great bait for all of the above but the problem is I can’t find em in the Charleston area. Existing Beach is a haul to get them though I have done it the day or afternoon before a fishing trip here. I was told the sand fleas disappeared here when they built the Charleston Jetties.

That’s a fine inshore sheep
When I first looked at it I thought the tape said 50 inches[:0] Then I realized I was looking at the CM scale
Still a dang nice sheep.

I think 50 inches would shatter the world record! Bonzo would have a heart attack… it would be ugly.

So were you targeting sheepshead by finding them tailing? Never tried that before, sounds fun
No, structure and vertical fishing pilings. But there are several places in Charleston that I have seen sheepshead tailing, and they’re usually big ones…
