Ventured out with a late start on Weds, the bite seemed a touch slow but right when the tide turned it was on.

I fish a 4’ 20 or 30lb Flouro Leader with a split shot in between the hook and the float. If you put it to close to the hook you get snagged more often.

I usually watch for stops and small pulls, but that that thing was disappearing Weds.
I usually push away from the lighter wire hooks (I have bent them out previous) and use heavy wire but the light wire hooks made the difference.
