I’ve heard so many folks talk about what a challenge it is to catch sheepshead…catching fiddler crabs for bait, scraping barnacles for chum and/or bait. It’s really a piece of cake when you go where they’re biting.

Thanks, but I do not guide anymore. Years ago I did some guiding for bass on Santee-Cooper, but now it’s all about fun.

Yes it is fun. I’m up on Lake Marion. I stay after the crappie pretty hard.

I’m from Summerton, and had a house on Lake Marion in the Goat Island area for years. I’ve caught bass, crappie, bream, and catfish. I once had 40 brush piles out for crappie fishing. For table fare, crappie ranks right up there with the best of 'em.
