Shem Ck @ Coleman Blvd Bridge

Just a heads up that the phase 2 pedestrian bridge across Shem is underway, meaning further congestion of Shem (barge has displaced Palmetto Breeze in front of T&T/Reds) and bottlenecking of the navigable low-tide water just outside the bridge. The steel pilings also narrow the path. Fun times ahead.

Sounds like a sure enough mess!

Not entirely familiar with this area, does this work affect the ramp or use of the ramp?

I QUIT USEING SHEM LONG AGO BECAUSE OF THE CONGESTION , PADDLE BOARDERS ,AND SHALLOW “LOW TIDE” ACCESS INTO THE CREEK… LESS TROUBLE TO JUST USE THE RAMP AT RIVERS EDGE MARINA AND MAKE THE RIDE ;; SOME GOOD FISHING ALSO BETWEEN THE MARINA AND JETTYS …

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

They leave enough room. Only issue is that if they are working on the north side at low tide its all shoaled up to the east or inland side. You can still get through any of the openings but cut hard to the left when coming back in after passing under the bridge and get back close to the docks. The ramp are is clear. The northern most channel is the deepest.

I drive over Shem everyday going to work and it seems like this project is going at a snails pace. Any idea when this is supposed to be done?
