Does anyone know what was going on with the ship turned sideways in the harbor about 5:30 Saturday morning? Looked to be about 45 deg between the jetties with maybe three tugs trying to straighten it out from the south side. Don’t think it was a container ship, but maybe a tanker. Pretty dark out and didn’t want to hang around…had to go fish.
That’s the last thing we need… A tanker to sink in the jetties.
Saw it also. We thought maybe it had run aground. Had to dodge it and two shrimp trawlers all bottlenecked right there at the same place. I say this as I am eating Saturday-fresh caught tuna Nigiri, and grouper off the grill.
Wanna kill fish, then let’s go! Always ready, always willing to teach the ways.
It lost power and ran aground. My best bud was in charge of getting it off and to the dock is how I know. Not a fun job. Screw up and close the port. bigger deal was Sunday when they brought in a dead ship tow from offshore.
