Thinking of dragging some Drones and Manns tomorrow in the channel. Curious if you guys prefer a high or low tide from a water clarity standpoint. Dead low right about sunrise in the morning.
Also wondering if anyone has had any action out there or if I’m still a little early. Would love any ■■■■■■■■. Thanks.
Haven’t seen any reports of kings on the forum. Still waiting for someone to report one before I head out in search as well.
Beautiful day, Calm ocean. No kings. Plenty of Spaniards.
Don’t just do something. Sit there!
Spanish everywhere saturday. That can only mean the Kings are not far behind. Did see a report that a (one) King was caught off the Folly pier. Thats a good sign.
A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.
I’ve heard some folks say the outgoing tide is better for kings because of the large amount of bait being flushed out of the harbor and through the shipping channel. Then again, I’d bet if they are there, they’ll hit on any tide.
If im really close to a shipping channel or inlet I like a out going for the reason KIBLERWS said. Lots of bait is getting confused with the water currents fighting each other. Over the years I have noticed that king like chop on the water. If the spanish are there the king should be mixed in too. They like the same water temps, there both going to follow the bait.
