Was riding around in the boat Sunday and noticed many pairs of shoes on the channel markers in the Ashley. Can anyone explain these?

There is a placard on the pole dedicated to a serviceman… it has shoes, boots and even high heels…several different stories are floating around… if you ask some Citadel grads…they can fill you in…

I was by the citadel and the markers were right after I went under the drawbridges headed upstream.
