I have used the Sperry’s for a few years now. I normally use a size 13 wide also, but could only find a “D” width available at the time, without waiting. They work though. A little snug, but still comfortable. They perform well and durable, which they should be for the price. Great shock absorbers. They claim to have the anti-microbial stuff inside, but those things reek after a few soakings. I just pour vinager in them to soak then wash in bleach. They’re good for a couple more times out, then back in the wash. Thought about the Crocs. Maybe I’ll try them next.
Shimano Evair. get 2 pair, they are great…keep a pair on boat and a pair to wear off boat. off the boat pair can get chemicals on them and make sole lose grip. Best I have ever owned. especially for center console wear. cushion!
Columbia Drainmakers, awesome, good price too if you look around. I feel 100% confident in my footing when the boat’s-a-rockin’ and the waves are crashing.
Found a pair of white crocs in Quepos Coata Rica years ago! That was what the local Cpt. and mates were wearing. Wore them for years, found a pair in Edisto last year! Years ago I almost cut off a toe when I slipped on the top deck in the dark and hit the horn bracket, took 11 stitches to put it back on!
Several color available, and they’re not nearly as goofy looking as other marine shoes. They are the highest grip boat shoe available in the world, I’m positive of that.
West Marine in West Ashley has a good selection, and I think West Marine in Mt P has some as well.
