Turkey season is coming soon, and I smoked two last year with turkey loads while setup and trying to get a gobbler to close the distance. I’d rather shoot the yote anyway.

The first yote I ever killed snuck up behind me when I was calling turkeys. Learned to put my back up to a big tree after that! They do like a turkey call.
The last one I killed was in my backyard and 2 of them were stalking my dog, who was sleeping under a boat. Went 1 for 2 on those with a pistol. Actually 1 for 1 on the first shot and 0 for 16 on the second through 16

haven’t seen a yote since last turkey season. guess that’s a good thing 
killed this one with the bow, deer season before last.
