Sand tiger sharks, lionfish, spadefish, and amberjacks. It would benefit you too slow your breathing down as much as possible and not sit for too long on the bottom. Visibility looked great. Glad you got out there
I noticed my breathing was faster than usual. I think that was the hardest dive I’ve ever done. I’m still nervous since my last diving trip ended with someone being air lifted to the hospital.
For now, I’m nervous about every little thing. I’m sure it will be easier when I get a couple more dives in.
As for sitting on the bottom, I was waiting for the other three guys to make it to the bottom and join me.
The second guy down was having weight issues, but he was able to make it work. I think we might have to strap a couple weights to the top of his tank.
defintely sand tigers, totally harmless even though they look vicious. The wreck looks to be Y-73 which does have a resident goliath grouper that stays in the wheelhouse, he can be very defensive too.
Awesome video MWF! Even if it was short, I love seeing you guys come back with video.
Hate to parrot good info, but definitely sand tigers, amberjack, etc…
Also, one question…Does that Reg need service? I’m wondering what that buzzing sound was. Still learning myself, but something didn’t sound right. Could that be a tear in the diaphragm or is that just a different type of regulator? Just asking.
If you ever got a space to fill going out shoot me a PM. Always happy to cover my cost +.
I was diving with a full face mask, so the sound is different. It usually sounds like the regulator is dragging or delayed. Works great for cold water, but I’ll be switching back to a standard second stage with warmer water.

Hey MWF, thanks for that information. I guess it makes sense why it would be a little delayed with your breathing, but man that thing sounds weird. I’ve had buddies recommend that full face rig, but I’ve never given it a shot.
