Short of SWB

We headed out and got the lines in around 7:30. We stopped about 15 miles short of SWB and started trolling a nice weed line. There were some nice lines but very patchy so we headed towards the ledge. Fished for an hour with only having one strike, which happen to be a nice cuda. Decided to head back to weed line for a last time, but by then it seemed the bite had slowed down a good bit. Headed in around 12:30. The ride out and in was the wettest yet this summer. Way in got up to about 30knt though which made it seem a little quicker.

Days total was 7 dolphin and big cuda. Biggest dolphin was probably 25lbs. NO wahoo. No Sail. Wishd we would have though.

I thought I heard you on the radio but wasn’t sure. We went south of commanche. It was a slow bite for most of the day also. Only managed 4 dolphin, 2 kings, 1 cuda and a bonita. very wet ride for us as well.

Yeah, Griffen told me Friday night that you guys were going out too. He told me that you were going to head towards Cammanche in the morning, so I tried you a couple times on 67 and 69. We were considering going there around 11:00 and wanted to see how you guys were doing.

My buddy was going to clean the fish this morning and just found 2 more dolphin in the bottom of the cooler. So we actually did better than we thought. The bite was pretty slow for us as well. We were just lucky to find that nice weedline. We should have thrown back 2 of those dolphin though.

Any size to the kings?

Thats a nice suprise to find in the cooler. The kings were about 15-20lbs. Nice fish, would have been a good tourney fish.
