My wife and I headed out to the Stono early Sunday morning to hit the last half of the falling tide. We actually wanted to try the harbor but when we saw the radar images and the clouds building over the city, we switched directions and headed to the Stono River. The river was calm/quiet and cloudy. First stop was a dock that has been a favorite spot of many who fish the stono, but it was empty today. After about 15’ had a 19" Red, into the cooler for dinner. Nothing else for the next 15min and since the tide was falling and we were losing depth, we headed to some more spots. Next two spots, nothing. THen the rains came and drove us home. So, ended with just the one red for about 2 hrs of fishing.
Falling tide, cut mullet on a carolina rig on the bottom. It was between two docks, up near the grass.
