I just go my Grandfathers old Boat!
It is a 1992 22.5 Stratos Cuddy/Walk Around
it has the original Aluminum fuel tank still in the boat 92 gallons I think
I am going to replace all the old fuel lines from the tank to the outboard with new ones that are rated to handle ethanol.
Should I replace the aluminum fuel tank also, Is aluminum safe for fuels with ethanol???
If you’re going to the trouble to replace all those hoses, at least pull the tank out and inspect it. If it is in good shape, clean it and paint/coat the outside and re install. Good luck.

aluminum is fine for ethanol, look for corrosion on the outside mainly around any stainless steel screws etc

The Grady White people advised me that they anticipate 20 years for an aluminium tank. Then they suggest replacement. Are they conservative? Probably.
I’d call and verify this opinion with Seels/Hanckel etc and see if they agree with this. Seels put in my 92 gallon new tank after pulling the old one. It was certainly significantly pitted, but it’s impossible to tell how long it could have lasted.
Capt Ed is right. Check for corrosion and also have the tank pressure tested for leaks.
