The creek in the video is the widest creek I’ve ever seen.
You got me there for a sec. I thought you were about to pull a bucket load of shrimp out of some random spot. Anyone can catch a load of menhaden in one cast, especially on a nice day like that.
I’ve caught more menhaden than that off a dock.

Not only that, but that video was uploaded almost a year ago…but yes, the bait is definitely showing up in the creeks.

Technically speaking, Capt Fritz is correct about shrimp in the creeks. I went out Monday morning and threw a cast net from a floating dock on Albergotti Creek and after about two dozen throws I had accumulated three small shrimp that had been hugging the shoreline. Unfortunately I ended up feeding them to stingrays later in the day.
I caught about a dozen brown shrimp in a little creek in Mt. Pleasant Monday. It didn’t see any mullet or menhaden. Threw about 20 times right at dead low tide. The shrimp were in about 4-5 feet of water.

CaptFritz nice cast. Wish my cast this weekend past yielded me some shrimp or baitfish.
Caught quite few more small shrimp on the banks of a creek over at Parris Island. Creek was loaded with Menhaden too. Even saw some blue crabs skittering along the shallows for the first time this year.

Fine line between confidence and arrogance.

Went out with the wife Sunday in the Folly. Caught what I thought were good sized shrimp for June. Also found the menhaden back near bowens island. One cast had about 100 in the net. Shrimp were decent size. Good sign for the fall.
