Just got back from grocery shopping at Harris Teeter on Folly Road - pleased with 20 pounds of fresh Beaufort heads on shrimp (21-25 but most larger) for 3.99 per pound. They’re iced down, and I’m gonna take them to the dock and pretend me and Penny caught ‘em while pinchin’ off their heads in tha morning! Seafood Mgr. said they bought 500 extra pounds in error - these are the ones they normally sell for 5.99 heads on as the Fresh Wild Caught! STRONG half cooler for 80 bucks! Not the same fun as getting them yourself, but these are really pretty shrimp! Gonna eat a few soon!
I saw where they started them at $5.99 per pound, but their mistake is your good fortune with this deal…had we not caught 40lbs yesterday I might take a cooler up to the Teeter myself!
