Faced Mother Nature dead in the face and said ‘screw it, let’s go’.
The good news is, we had a 100% catch rate improvement over our last outing, the bad news is, we only caught 1 shrimp on the last outing because we got blown off the water.
Yesterday’s weather wasn’t much better. Put in at Garris about 9 AM, got to the south end of BB, took a right after coming into the bay and put out 2 test poles. Weather was pretty crappy; rain, wind, 1-2 foot chop. Gork on two poles. Moved east about 500 yards, tested again:Gork.
Went back the other direction to the western side and didn’t have much improvement.
Totals for the day: 2 shrimp, 1 cuttlefish, 1 pinfish, 1 spot, beers.
None the less, we’re looking forward to trying again next year.
