shrimp id?

I was tossing the cast net at a friends dock today. I caught this awesome looking shrimp. I guess maybe I haven’t been shrimping enough to see one like this or maybe it actually is rare? All the ones I’ve ever caught have been normal looking shrimp. Neat bright orange stripe with blue and yellow legs that looked painted. God makes some beautiful creatures.

I’ve heard about these. I hear they’re coming in across the border. I blame Obama.

10% of the people catch 90% of the fish.

From the SCDNR site. I guess they want them or atleast a picture and location.

“Recreational and commercial shrimpers are encouraged to report catches of tiger shrimp in South Carolina to the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at tigershrimp@dnr.sc.gov. If possible, reports should include a photograph of the animal along with location and date of capture. Specimens less than 5 inches in length are of particular interest and should be kept frozen prior to donation.”
