what price range do the orange fiberglass poles go for

We got our poles last year for about 15 bucks a piece from the guy in Newberry. They have the reflective tape and ends on them. Well worth the money. I’m pretty sure they’re 14 ft, but they had some 16 ft ones too.

Cannot remember his name but he works for the Shakespeare (fiberglass) plant in Newberry. They are the best you’ll find. I got 14 footers about 5 years ago and they still look and perform like new. (Heavy use) They come with a cap and plastic pointed end.

I think I paid $120??

I’m looking buying some fiberglass poles, I know the O.D. is 1" legally, but what is the average size diameter wise for fiberglass poles?

1" is the size made in fiberglass. They are actually made as industrial broom/mop handles. He just adds tips and caps and voila shrimp poles. It was cool watching his building process…

Can someone post pics of their fiberglass poles (Tips and Caps) and who made them / where they got them from?
I’m trying to compare the different tip styles.
I called the craigslist ad above. He’s local selling poles from FL with solid pointed fiberglass rod glued into the tip. Is this the same style tip the guy from Newberry uses?
Is there a difference / preference?
Do people have problems with getting fiberglass in there hands or has that issue been resolved.
