Has anyone bought shrimp lately. I may not be able to go baiting so might have to purchase 50-100 lbs.
They were selling large on the side of the road on St Helena for $5/lb. They might give you a discount for buying more than 30 lbs.
I assume those were heads-on. Some of those guys by the road don’t take care of their shrimp very well, like not draining water from the cooler.

I called Carolina Seafood in McClellanville last week, 843-887-3713, and shrimp prices were: 21-25 count-$3.60/lb. and 16-20 count-$4.00/lb. These prices were for 50lb. boxes of head-on shrimp. Smaller quantities are available but cost a little more.
