I don’t know about around the Charleston area, but the shrimp were pretty thick in many places last night while I was flounder gigging here in Beaufort. Most of the shrimp were small, but there were plenty of them big enough for bait. I even saw some medium sized shrimp.
Don’t go gettin my hopes up for September 12 Skeeter!
I already know where I’m going to be setting on 12 September. The creek is full now, so it will be full of big shrimp in almost two months.

If its like the last few years, they will grow slowly and then right about 9/10 - 9/12 it’ll rain for three days straight and they’ll be gone. I hope not, but that’s about the way it has gone.
