Shrimp

Folks,

The shrimp have arrived despite all of the rain. We shrimped off of our dock last night in the almost red-colored water and caught 30-50 shrimp per cast. We kept only good fishing sized shrimp and sent the others back to grow. Every time I threw the net, the water exploded with smaller shrimp. This arrival is a little later than normal years (but what is normal this year?) but much appreciated for the upcoming fishing trip this weekend.

Same here, I’ve been catching 10-20 per cast last week or two. Lots of smaller shrimp up to medium in size. Small for eating but good bait size.

I threw the net about 6 times off a dock in Mt. Pleasant yesterday evening and was getting close to 20 per cast. Lots of small ones, but some nice sized almost too big for bait ones scattered in with them too.
Turned a couple of them into nice spottails. Low tide was really low.
