Bait shrimp are on the way,threw the net in a couple of feeder creeks Wednesday. Caught approx. 15 small shrimp in the two inch range. I believe we will have bait in two weeks. Caught some large menhaden, mud minnows, and finger mullet also. The only problem, no fish liked any of the buffet.
I have a small creek in my backyard. Wanted to get some mud minnows to put in wife’s small lily pond. Threw the net last night and first cast I had a shrimp. Just slightly bigger than microscopic. I am way back up in the creek and with the outgoing tide it’s more brackish/fresh than salt. I was surprised.

Get some freshwater minnows with a dip net for the pond. They will reproduce and eat mosquito larvae.
