Where does one find the shrimp bait ingredients?

Many feed & seed stores will carry the necessary ingredients. Also stores such as Sportsman’s Warehouse in Columbia or Haddrell’s in Charleston, etc. will have what you need. If you want to mix it yourself, clay (store bought kaolin clay, instead of local red clay, is easiest to use) and fish meal. That is what I do. If you want the easiest method (but more expensive), buy Bait Binder http://www.baitbinder.com/ . With it, all you have to do is add water and it is almost foolproof. All of these ingredients are readily available during the season.

Much appreciation Bowhunter.
I moved in the area last year (Johns Island)but having to work on the house has kept me away from fishing, etc. I believe shrimping will be time spent with some fun and reward. I like the way you fellows help each other in these forums. I’m researching boats at the present. Again, thank you very much for your help. FishTaker.
PS You can see, I’m a newbie

Don’t hesitate to post questions on here. Good people here that are more than willing to be helpful. You need to make time to get out and try to catch some shrimp when the season comes in and remember what they say, “all work and no play…”.
