Can anyone tell me where to buy a mesh shrimping basket in the Mt. P area and how much they are these days. Coming down soon and need to locate one as mine seems to have walked away on me! Thanks guys!
Charleston angler in Mount Pleasant should have some, they were $25 when I got one from them last week.
Laundry basket from Target or Walmart etc. is what I use. Look for one that the holes are not too large. I have 2, One to keep nets in and then bait balls once they are made, the other for the shrimp.

Misslily showed me a good idea years ago and I’ve used it to this day…buy 2 big tupperware tubs that nest inside each other…drill bunch of holes in the inner tub…nest them and dump shrimp in, straight from the net…pull innner tub out and dump shrimp in cooler…then dump outer tub directly overboard…keeps the water from the net from going straight into the boat…
get a locking top…also good to store nets, bait, misc in while not in use or in travel…

Guys! Thanks SO MUCH for the info, really appreciated! Think I might just go the homemade route … GREAT Idea!
When you drill holes in plastic there is always an end that stays in the hole! Be sure to cut it off or the net will always grab one and turn it over or tea=r the net.
Drill holes from inside the tub if you can. Then trim outside with a window razor.
