Shrimping on the Stono

Anyone done any shrimp baiting near the Stono inlet out by Kiawah? Seems like it would be a good place but I’ve heard mixed reviews.

I’ve tried a couple spots in that area over the last two years and did okay. Maybe half a cooler of mediums, nothing fantastic. But just because I just wasn’t catching them doesn’t mean they aren’t there!

I was wondering this the other day…surely they’re there.

Might wanna try up near Privateer Creek.

Double D, he’s speaking of the stono inlet by the kiawah river…different side of town. Privateer creek is in a different inlet.

You are correct sir.I was thinking about 2 different areas.

Tried there 2 years ago . Water was to clear and didn’t get much. Fella back at steamboat said it was better at night

Again, different inlet altogether.
