I have gone Shrimping for 2 seasons now and have yet to “cooler out”. Typically we catch enough for a few good meals, have fun doing it and drink a good amount of beer while we are at it! This year I thought I would try and actually find some of the spots folks are talking about with the pictures of full coolers etc. I’m not one to ask somebody to tell me where they fish, so i’ve been doing my own research using google earth and looking for the characteristics described in the many threads about shrimping spots on here.
Anyway google earth provides great images but not much info about water depth. Since my GPS is on my boat and I work at a desk 5 days a week it’s a bit difficult to translate google earth into the chart i’m used to seeing on my GPS with depths etc.
I found this for out beloved harbor and thought others might find it useful if sitting on a computer and doing a bit of research.
