Last Friday the front was suppose to come thru at noon. Small craft advisory starting at 11 am. With only two more days left for me to try it we headed out the south end of the Bay about 7:20. We started shrimping about 8, and when the waves started rolling over the bow as I was casting my net. We called it a day with 3/4 of a cooler of the biggest shrimp I’ve ever seen.
About 10:30 the wind switched up to northeast, and the tide was up high enough to make it too difficult. It was fun trying though. I had to go to the middle of the boat everytime we drove to the next pole. Or waves would come over the bow.
It’s only doing the average that keeps the average down…;)) Way to battle it out and glad it ended safely…
