The article said that we had such a mild winter that the biologists think the shrimp hatch was a month early and then when we got all that rain in August the shrimp were big enough to go ahead and go out to sea.

The fact that deep hole shrimping got raped by many people and tackle shops selling the big custom nets definitely hurt the bait casting guys as well

deep holers are held to the same rules and regulations as baiters…and honestly I don’t think deep holers make much difference in what the baiters do…
